Mastronardi Produce Greenhouse – Oneida, NY

The largest greenhouse in North America is being erected in Oneida, NY, by Mastronardi Produce. When all 4 construction phases are complete, more than 110 acres of growing space will be under one roof. That’s large enough to fit (4) Destiny Shopping Malls, or 17 Carrier Domes inside.

Beaton Industrial was contracted to install a number of Hormann Flexon High Speed Roll Up doors, as well as a number of Blue Giant Vertical Dock Levelers married to Wayne Dalton 530 Series Sectional Overhead Doors.

The greenhouses are currently growing strawberries, with plans to grow tomatoes in the near future.

Thanks to the high speed doors helping to maintain separate climates between building sections, inside the greenhouse it feels like Key West even though it’s a cold Northeast winter day.
